Welcome
Highly Flavored Ministry, Inc. (HFM) is a viable organization in Gary, IN committed to changing the paths of those in prisons worldwide.
This organization was birthed as an auxiliary at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, IN in 2000. An ex-inmate and member of the congregation developed this ministry. Two thousand (2,000) newsletters containing encouraging article by ex-felons, and others once oppressed in life-changing situations, are mailed quarterly in bulk to all prisons in the state of Indiana and to inmates all over the world; mail is sent as far as South Africa. A
volunteer staff currently
manages the publication.
The effectiveness of this newsletter has resulted in a mailing list of almost 800 inmates and the list continues to grow. Because of our rapid growth, HFM obtained its 501(c)3 status from the federal government in 2003.
In 2004, HFM created an outreach mentoring project entitled "Project: They Can't Have Us" geared toward
aiding at-risk teens and young adults in the immediate community.
We are constantly seeking volunteers to help in with our various efforts. If you share in our mission statement, please
contact us and we will let you know of
ways you can help.
