Program highlights
-
Lead and
learn with a group of 10
high school sophomores and
juniors.

Experience 13
weeks of training in the
areas of Social Justice and
Grassroots Organizing.

Share your
passion to bring change to
your community by creating a
Social Justice project that
could be implemented within
the city of Gary.
-
Have the
opportunity to receive a
scholarship to an accredited
college or university of
your choice upon graduation
of high school.
-
Help
administrate and coordinate
the 2009 Social Justice
Youth Leadership Summer
Program for a new group of
participants.
Applicant
Qualifications
-
Will be a
high school Sophomore or
Junior in the fall of 2008
and a resident of Gary.
-
Currently
have at least a 2.5 Grade
Point Average.
-
Strong desire
to lead or work with your
peers to achieve community
change.
-
Bold,
outspoken and not afraid to
take a stand on issues that
hinder community progress.
